The UConn Huskies are headed to the Final Four once again, and this time they did it with a dominant performance.

The No. 1 seed in the River Walk Region took on No. 2 seed Baylor in the Elite Eight on Monday night, and it was all UConn from the start. The Huskies led by as many as 27 points in the first half, and never looked back.

Their defense was suffocating, holding Baylor to just 21 first-half points and shooting under 30 percent from the field for the game. UConn’s offense was equally impressive, with Paige Bueckers leading the way with 28 points on 10-of-22 shooting.

It was a complete team effort, with the Huskies’ bench outscoring Baylor’s bench 23-0. Every player who entered the game contributed in their own way, from Aaliyah Edwards’ 18 points and 13 rebounds to Nika Muhl’s five steals.

This win wasn’t just about talent, however. UConn’s poise and mental toughness were on full display as well. Despite being up by double digits for most of the game, the Huskies never let up and kept their foot on the gas until the final buzzer.

Head coach Geno Auriemma has been here before, and his experience and leadership are evident in the way this team plays. The Huskies are now 13-0 in Elite Eight games under Auriemma and have advanced to their 13th consecutive Final Four.

As UConn prepares for their Final Four matchup against No. 3 seed Arizona, they can take comfort in the fact that they have already faced some tough opponents this tournament. They have beaten four top-10 teams en route to the Final Four and have shown that they have what it takes to win it all.

The Huskies have always been a dominant force in women’s basketball, but this year’s team seems to have a little something extra. They have faced adversity and come out even stronger, and they are poised to make another run at a national championship.

If their performance in the Elite Eight is any indication, UConn is a team that no one wants to face right now. They are simply too good, too deep, and too focused to be beaten. The Huskies have secured their place in the Final Four with a dominant performance, and they are ready to take on anyone who stands in their way.
