Football transfer season is heating up as clubs start to make their moves in the transfer market. As the anticipation builds for the start of next season, Sky Sports has revealed some of the top football transfer targets.
First on the list is Jadon Sancho, the 21-year-old forward who currently plays for Borussia Dortmund. Sancho has been linked with a move to Manchester United, where he would join fellow England international Marcus Rashford. The Red Devils are said to be willing to spend up to £80 million to secure Sancho’s signature.
Next up is Erling Haaland, also currently playing for Borussia Dortmund. The Norwegian striker has been in sensational form this season, scoring an incredible 41 goals in all competitions. Several top clubs, including Manchester City, Real Madrid and Barcelona, are reportedly interested in signing Haaland, with a price tag of around £130 million.
Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane is also rumoured to be a prime target for Manchester City, who are searching for a reliable replacement for Sergio Aguero. Kane has been one of the most consistent goalscorers in the Premier League over the past few years, and it is thought that City would be willing to pay up to £150 million for his services.
Another player linked with Manchester United is Raphael Varane, the Real Madrid centre-back who has been a mainstay of the club’s defence for over a decade. Varane has won four Champions League titles with Real and is widely regarded as one of the best defenders in the world. United are reportedly willing to pay around £60 million to bring him to Old Trafford.
Finally, Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish is attracting attention from several top clubs, with Manchester City thought to be at the front of the queue. Grealish is a versatile attacking midfielder who has been instrumental in Villa’s success over the past few seasons. It is thought that Villa would require a fee of at least £100 million to part with their talisman.
As always, transfer rumours should be taken with a pinch of salt, and many of the players on this list may end up staying put at their current clubs. However, with the transfer window open until the end of August, there is still plenty of time for deals to be done. It promises to be an exciting summer of transfer activity as clubs jostle for position ahead of the new season.
